The most reported incidences of being ghosted: not having emails or calls returned. Anecdotal research suggests 3 options to handle the offense:
- Assume they don’t give you the time of the day because they think you’re “unworthy”. This is the most destructive of the 3 options.
- Give them the benefit of the doubt and follow up. “Accidental ghosting” does happen, especially on mobile.
- Let it go. Make a mental note to graciously say “no” in your own communications so you never become the protagonist in a story about your ghosting someone else.
