How to captivate a younger audience as a speaker?

Technology, rizzlers, and digital media are younger audience’s defining characteristics. Try 3 captivating tools as a speaker:

  1. Update your content! An admired keynote speaker has used Barbara Streisand as an example for as long as I remember. While everyone recognizes her superstardom, a younger audience is unlikely to FEEL the effect. That example is falling flat today.
  2. Use their cell phone habits to your advantage! Don’t be put off by younger audience’s “not paying attention” – how far can your message go when you encourage them go live as you deliver your Call to Action?!
  3. Show it, not just say it. In the age of TikTok/Snap/IG, visual stimulation has become an expected engagement method, especially among the younger audience. Not an expert? There’re so many creators you can tap into (so many are free)!
