How to persuade clients to accept your idea?

Persuade, not manipulate! Here 3 ways to persuade the client to accept your idea while establishing trust:

  1. Show them why you care. While the focus is on why they should care, your own motivation can also appeal to client’s emotions and imaginations. As long as it is not about you profiting or self-promoting from the idea, your passion makes you a client magnet.
  2. Close the deal. Never end a presentation without inviting the client to accept your idea and proposal. If they sound tentative, don’t be pushy and suggest that they accept just part of the idea. A few small yes can add up quickly when you persuade clients.
  3. Call in your chip! Your past performance for the client is a very powerful “evidence”, especially if the idea is novel and you don’t yet have data to support the claim.
