How to develop emotional intelligence in a rapidly changing industry?

Emotional intelligence ≠ emotionless but FEELING your emotions & GUIDING it so it doesn’t overtake your mind and body. Here’re 3 steps to a better EQ:

  1. De-escalate conflict at home. Without a calm home, you cannot conquer the world, period. Apply those leadership and communication skills you do so well at work. And a calm home usually leads to more sex, which increases endorphins!
  2. Relieve stress. Everyone decompresses differently but alcohol/drugs/risky behaviors are temporary solutions – they permanently age your skin/voice/wallet. WHAT SCIENCE SUPPORTS: Exercise, journaling, or talk therapy and socializing. Emotional intelligence starts with an emotional health.
  3. 🤔 Do I have to win every time? Must I be right all the time? Preserve your valuable “chi” (the grandmother of emotional intelligence) to persevere in a rapidly changing industry. Take that, haters!
