What process to use for communicating project progress?

Create a template that you can reuse for each progress report and follow a reporting schedule. The consistency brings 3 benefits:

  1. Before and after comparisons for each reporting period can be made quickly.
  2. Expectations on the level of details that you present are set from the get go.
  3. Your progress reporting process is uncomplicated! Regardless of the tool that you choose – Excel, Word, or Power Point – consistency helps both you and your stakeholders to get to the information with less confusion, especially in an online meeting.
